Things To Know Before You Go
Age Requirement
You must be 22 years of age to rent or depart with any rental craft and must present a valid driver's license at check-in.
Boating Safety Certificate
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1998 must possess a valid Illinois Boating Safety Certificate.
Fuel
Fuel is not included in rental pricing.
Arrival Time
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time for check-in and safety review.
Water Sports
Water sports are permitted on select boats only.
Pets & BBQ Grills
Pets and BBQ grills are not permitted on rental boats.
Boat Operators
No person under 18 years of age may operate any rental craft.
Responsibility
The lessee is responsible for any loss or damage to the rental craft, equipment, and contents.
Cancellation Policy
Reservations canceled 72 hours or more before departure receive a full refund. Reservations canceled within 72 hours receive a rain date valid for one year. No-show reservations are forfeited.

How old do I need to be to rent a boat?
You must be at least 22 years of age to rent and depart with any rental craft. A valid driver's license is required at check-in.

If you were born on or after January 1, 1998, Illinois law requires you to possess a valid Illinois Boating Safety Certificate.

Is fuel included in the rental price?
No. Fuel is not included in the rental price. Fuel charges will be calculated separately based on usage.
Can anyone under 18 operate the boat?
No. No person under the age of 18 may drive or operate any rental craft.
What is your cancellation policy?
Spring Lake Marina requires a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) notice to receive a full refund.
Reservations canceled with less than 72 hours' notice will receive a rain date credit valid for up to one year.
